Vancouver, British Columbia - Artha Resources Corporation (TSX.V: AHC) is pleased to announce that the Company has successfully completed follow-up work on the Pirquitas NW and Pirquitas South prospects in NW Argentina (Map 1), adjacent to the Pirquitas Silver Mine. The results are again very positive, with one rock chip sample returning 2 g/t gold within a coincident silver-gold-bismuth-arsenic anomaly covering an area of over 1.5 square km within the Pirquitas NW prospect. The geochemical anomaly is situated on a large NW trending structure that hosts the Pirquitas Mine. Silver values in the anomaly are up to 50 times background values. Induced Polarization geophysics will begin on this prospect in mid-June, as part of a larger program, to better define its lateral extent underneath alluvial cover and its depth extent.

The Pirquitas NW prospect lays approximately 2.5km north-west of the Pirquitas Mine within the property owned by Cardero Resources Corp. (TSX: CDU) which Artha is farming into. A total of 800 hectares were mapped at 1:10,000 scale with 159 rock chip samples collected. The geological setting is similar to the Pirquitas Mine and is located on a similar structural trend. Mineralization observed lays in breccia zones with quartz vein stockworks in a broader east-west trending alteration system. Alteration comprises moderate argillic and sericite halos surrounding disseminated sulphides and oxides. A small number of historic workings were observed indicating past prospecting.

Results are still awaited from the Pirquitas South prospect. Exploration is now continuing on the Vallecito Project to the east of Pirquitas as well as on the Salta pegmatite rare earth project in Salta Province where regional reconnaissance work began last week. Further news will be released on this exciting rare earth project next week.

Artha's CEO, Charles Straw, commented on the results by saying, 'this latest prospect provides further strong support for our model which is targeting extensions and repetitions to the Pirquitas mineralization. The presence of highly elevated gold and silver is very encouraging given this prospects location in relation to the Pirquitas Mine'.

Charles Straw, B.Sc., is the qualified person under NI 43-101 responsible for the technical information in this news release.

Artha was founded by a team of mining industry professionals with a proven track record in project generation, exploration, mining and finance. The Company's principle exploration target adjoins Silver Standards Pirquitas Mine, one of the largest primary silver mines in the world located in the province of Jujuy in NW Argentina. Artha is one of the largest mineral explorers in this region with over 900 square kilometers of properties prospective for silver, gold, base metals and rare earths.
