VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA - (Marketwire - March 10, 2008) - Artha Resources (TSX VENTURE:AHC - News) is pleased to announce the appointment of William Sheriff to its board of directors. Mr. Sheriff is considered to be one of the leading prospect developers in the USA and was previously the co-founder of Energy Metals, a company that was recently taken over by Uranium One in a transaction valued at $1.2 billion. Currently Mr. Sheriff is President and CEO of Golden Predator Mines, a private junior mining company that to date has raised in excess of $50 million for its gold and tungsten projects in the USA.

Mr. Sheriff is also a director of Uranium One, Eurasian Minerals, Midway Gold, and Bluerock Resources, and was previously the chairman of the board and executive vice-president of Energy Metals. Mr. Sheriff began his career with Cyprus Minerals-AMOCO in 1980, working on molybdenum deposits in Montana. From 1981 to 1984, as research geologist for Amselco Exploration, he was responsible for prospect generation for the southwest U.S. From 1985 to present, he was the founder and has been the president of Platoro West Inc., a minerals exploration firm specializing in project identification and acquisition throughout the western U.S. From 2002 until present, Mr. Sheriff has served as the president of Pacific Intermountain Gold Corp. (PIGC), a private corporation owned by Seabridge Gold Corp. PIGC holds over 30 advanced gold exploration projects throughout Nevada.

Mr. Sheriff received his BSc in geology from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo., and conducted graduate studies at the University of Texas-El Paso in mining geology and mineral economics.
